Barr is songwriter, vocalist, pianist, entertainer, record producer and graphic designer from Denton, MD (USA). She has been on stage in one way or another since a very young age and is currently front woman of the Niki Barr Band. Through SplashKit, Niki works with independent and emerging recording artists to develop their craft, demo/album tracks and promotional efforts.

One of her early performances caught the attention of Mike Marucci of Marucci Artist Management Inc. and a short time later, the 15 year-old singer had a manager. By age 16, Niki had already begun recording with producer/mixer/engineer Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Marvelous 3, Meredith Brooks) on demos that would become her first EP, The Other Side of Me. Barr has had the pleasure of working with some of the biggest names in the recording industry, including songwriters/producers The Matrix, Wizards of Oz, Mathew Gerrard, Butch Walker, Aaron Johnson, and Stephen Lironi.

Niki released her first full-length record in 2004, titled Lush. The single, "Wasted Time" became the #1 single on Sky Radio in the UK for over 6 weeks. In 2006, Niki released another EP, titled "Go", teaming up, once again with Jim Ebert as producer. The single "Go" sat atop Sky Radio's Pulse Rated charts for over 8 weeks in the UK. Her songs have been licensed to MTV's Advanced Warning Radio, MTV's Laguna Beach, Pantene Pro-V, American Airlines, Purina Foods, Dixon (electronics retailer in the UK), and Nascar. Niki has also been featured in Billboard, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, and Time Magazine.

Her solo act morphed into a group, the Niki Barr Band. In April of 2009, they were awarded the final prize in DC101 Radio's "Last Band Standing" at the famed Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA. They've been fortunate to share the stage with Joan Jett, Paramore, The Offspring, The Cult, Papa Roach, Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, Third Eye Blind, and Red Jumpsuit Aparatus. They've also toured internationally with the Armed Forces Entertainment, performing for the US Troops in the Middle East, Japan, UK, and many other countries throughout Europe and Southeast Asia. The tours have brought them support from Billboard, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, and NPR Radio's “Border Crossings with Larry London".
