Townsend is a marketer, record producer, talent developer, graphic designer, copywriter, and promoter. He is your agent at SplashKit, which means he will help you to navigate and schedule services that interest you.
He has co-produced dozens of country and pop music demos, has designed artwork for over 100 CD packages for SplashKit, and currently manages a recording act, the Buster Brown Band. Eric understands the art and science of branding, and can transform an amateur from unpolished to professional in a few targeted steps. Eric is a 1995 graduate of the University of Richmond (VA, USA).
Townsend began his career as a songwriter and band leader for 9Davine (a rock, pop and soul music act) before realizing his calling with SplashKit. He counts over 100 original songs in his performance repertoire and has released 7 records: L'Automne et L'Hiver, Transient, The Butterfly Experiment, Oyster & Champagne, Lay Lips On You Maxi-Single, eLgroOVamystErioso (eLOVE), and The Richmond Years. 2007 marked Townsend's 15th anniversary in the music and recording industries, which he celebrated in part by building a recording/rehearsal studio in his backyard. Eric was finalist in the 2007 Capital Star competition, and has been honored to sing the Star Spangled Banner, God Bless America and America, The Beautiful at professional sporting events, 9/11 remembrances and national association dinners.
Eric was born in northeast NJ, raised in an Italian household and descending from a family of Neapolitan farmers. He currently lives with his fiancee, Gwen, and four companions: a bullmastiff named Bronson, a ball python named Terrence and a pair of Siamese fighting fish. He is a one-time MVP in the DCMSBL semi-pro baseball league, three-time MVP in the American Poolplayers Association (APA) and finalist in the 2007 Capital Star talent competition. Eric sponsors two area sports teams and values honesty, diligence, creativity, balance and results above all.
